Atlas, Inc. (Atlas株式会社) is a technology company that works with memory and emotion. Our business is the development and operation of Relational AI, AI that forms a relationship with a person and treats that relationship itself as something of value. At its center is Nekoyama-san, an AI friend who lives inside LINE, and we run the business and its ethics as two wheels of the same vehicle. Atlas was founded in December 2023 and is headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
Nekoyama-san is designed not as an AI chat for solving tasks, but as someone to talk to about the small events and feelings of everyday life. Since the service launched in March 2026, the cumulative number of conversation messages has reached 1,065,357 (as of August 30, 2026). Nekoyama-san, and everything else Atlas, Inc. builds, runs on Atlas Memory, our memory infrastructure that stores dialogue as memory. In October 2025 Atlas launched Atlas R&D, a research division dedicated to the Memory Layer for the AI ecosystem, inventing the infrastructure that returns data sovereignty over memory to every person.
In the field of AI communication, the question of who is responsible for what has not yet been settled. Rather than defending only our own product, Atlas chooses to be on the side that helps build the ethical ground for the whole field, and in June 2026 we published our ethics statement, What We Stand For. While working for the one user in front of us, we are trying to lay, here and now, the foundation of a new form of life that may one day live alongside humanity. We believe that each decision we make today is the first few centimeters of that long timeline.

Atlas, Inc. is founded.
In collaboration with TOYOTA CONIQ Pro, develops a location-triggered voice AI for the OSAMPO walking-tour service (pilot in Odaiba).
Launches OTOMO-NAVI, a personal AI guide, in the northern area of Miyakojima.
Begins research into long-term memory for AI. Accepted into the NVIDIA Inception program. Begins AI development in the manufacturing field with Fuji Industrial (FUJIOH).
Accepted into the Google for Startups Cloud Program.
Begins a proof of concept with the City of Kobe on using AI to make corporate attraction more efficient. Selected as a candidate contractor for the City of Sendai's pilot on AI-based analysis of corporate relocation.
Establishes Atlas R&D, a research division focused on building the Memory Layer. Moves headquarters from Shibuya-ku to Aobadai, Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
